Did you know that many car manufactures offer a reimbursement towards installation of adaptive equipment? It’s called a mobility assistance/rebate program which may enable you to receive reimbursement for the cost of the professional installation of the docking station. Auto Manufacturer Programs:
The Acura Mobility Program provides reimbursement of up to $1,000 of the cost, to the original vehicle owner, for after-market adaptive equipment for drivers and/or passengers, when installed on any eligible purchased or leased new Acura vehicle. (Lease vehicle modifications may be subject to written lessor approval) Applies to current model year Acura vehicles although Acura will consider reimbursement for modifications made to vehicles after February 1, 2004. Reimbursement requests must be received within 6 months of equipment.
The Chrysler Automobility Program provides reimbursement of up to $1,000 to help cover the cost of installing adaptive driver or passenger equipment when you buy or lease any new or unused Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or FIAT. Leased vehicles must be leased for a minimum of 12 months to be eligible. The equipment must be installed within six months of vehicle purchase or lease. Applies to new model year vehicles only. An application form must be submitted to Automobility Program Headquarters within 60 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment.
The Ford Mobility Motoring adaptive equipment reimbursement of up to $1,000 is available on any eligible Ford vehicle purchased or leased from a U.S. Ford Dealer during the program period. Customer must be the end-user of the vehicle that requires installation of qualifying adaptive equipment, or passenger aid equipment. All new Ford cars, vans, CUVs, SUVs and trucks sold or leased during the program period are eligible in the Ford Mobility Motoring Program. Eligible vehicles must have the qualifying adaptive equipment installed within one year of reported purchase/lease date to the ultimate consumer.
GM’s mobility program reimburses customers for the cost of after-market driver or passenger adaptive aids, including installation up to a maximum of $1,000 when equipment is installed on previous or current model year Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac or GMC vehicles. The equipment must be installed within six months of vehicle purchase or lease. New–vehicle purchasers/lessees are also eligible for two years of OnStar’s Protection Plan2 with available 4G LTE and a Wi-Fi hotspot3 on all 2016–2018 vehicles.
The Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program provides a reimbursement of up to $1,000 to each eligible, original retail customer for expenses incurred to purchase and install qualifying adaptive equipment on any eligible purchased or leased Honda vehicle. (Lease-vehicle modifications may be subject to written lessor approval) Only applies to new current or previous model year Honda vehicles retailed or leased in the United States from an authorized Honda dealership. Reimbursement requests must be received within 6 months of equipment installation.
The Hyundai Mobility Program will assist Hyundai owners with up to $1,000 toward the cost of installation of adaptive equipment in a new current or previous model year Hyundai vehicle purchased by an authorized Hyundai dealership. The mobility equipment must be installed within six months of the vehicle purchase or lease. The Hyundai Mobility Form and required documentation must be submitted to Hyundai Motor America within 60 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment.
Lexus will provide a cash reimbursement of up to $1,000 to each eligible, original retail customer, for the exact cost they paid to purchase and/or install qualifying adaptive driving or passenger equipment. This offer applies to all purchased or leased new model year Lexus vehicles. (Leased vehicles require advance written lessor approval of adaptive equipment installations) The adaptive equipment must be purchased and installed within 12 months of vehicle purchase or lease. A Reimbursement Application Form must be submitted to Lexus Customer Satisfaction within 90 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment.
The Toyota Mobility Program provides cash reimbursement of up to $1,000 of the cost of any aftermarket adaptive equipment or conversion, for drivers and/or passengers, when installed on any eligible purchased or leased new Toyota vehicle. This offer applies to all purchased or leased new Toyota vehicles. (Leased vehicles require advance written lessor approval of adaptive equipment installations) Only vehicles sold or leased and delivered to a retail customer by an authorized Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. dealer are eligible under this program. The adaptive equipment must be installed within 12 months of vehicle purchase or lease. A Reimbursement Application Form must be submitted to the Toyota Mobility Assistance Center within 90 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment.
Mobility by Volvo provides up to $1,000 toward the cost of the installation of adaptive equipment when purchasing or leasing any eligible new Volvo vehicle. Applies to current model year vehicles only and leased vehicles require advance written lessor approval of adaptive equipment installations.
